This is a really great book, I've already made 5 recipes. They are easy to follow instructions.
Have many recipes yet to try but so far, so good. Recipes are simple and tasty.
Found some recipes I haven't tried. A good all around book for the crockpot.
This cookbook has delicious recipes and is written clearly. I am happy I made this purchase. My family especially liked the butternut squash and parsnip soup.
Bought as a gift for my husband who has a crock pot for the camp. He did not have any recipes to use and I thought that maybe this would help him get started ~ he loved it! He has tried a number of recipes and has been happy with each one.
Very nice book, with a lot of recipes I plan to try. The tomato soup with basil is wonderful! the author also gives tips for using your crockpot and how to care for it. There are no pictures of any of the dishes so if you need the visual assistance in order to get started, this isn't it, but it does have some good recipes in it and I plan to try a lot more of them.
This cookbook ONLY contains simple, almost everything on-hand ingredients. This is just a step in ingredients and difficulty than those five ingredient cookbooks which usually have HORRIBLE recipes in them. These are tasty and simple, simple, simple.
No, there aren't pictures. but it is simple to read the directions and KNOW what the recipe will look like! This is a short book, but has vegetable beef soup, cheeseburger soup, ham and bean, split pea and other familiar homey soups. I have no objections that at this price, I have about nine recipes which are used over and over. We are soup people in the winter. This cookbook was a VERY good idea by the author who realized that people need to save time but also have easy, home cooked and delicious recipes.. Quick reference. Few items to buy, if any. And recipes cook while you do other things. THIS COOKBOOK IS ABOUT ALL YOU NEED FOR SOUPS IN THE WINTER! The lower ratings by some indicate to me that this was compared to those HUGE, you never get out and actually use, cookbooks. Simple to grab and refer to week after week....that is my kind of cookbook!
